Amsterdam on Avalon Waterways

 I am so excited that in less than 3 weeks my sister and I will be traveling to Amsterdam.  Once there we will spend the night at the Fusion Suites, a fabulous bed and breakfast with only 4 guest rooms.  The hotel is run by Alex and Sharma, who I am told are wonderful hosts.  I have heard that the breakfast buffet is quite a spread and that each room is stocked with a mini-fridge with wine, beer and snacks. Sounds like a great place to stay! 

You know we will have to check out the "Red Light District".  For sure, we will just pass right on through with no stops!  Can't buy me love....

After an overnight stay, we will board the Avalon Vista and take the Tulip Time Cruise.  Mary loves tulips and is looking forward to Holland's parklands and greenhouses where millions of tulips bloom each year.  She also wants to see windmills, and wooden shoes, too, I guess!  I look forward to going to the Van Gogh Museum and visiting the medieval towns in Belgium.  We are both looking forward to our visit to Antwerp, Belgium's second largest city with its beautiful seaports and superb architecture. 

What we will especially enjoy are the leisurely afternoons of sailing and spending time together talking, laughing, eating and drinking.  The only regret is that our youngest sister won't be able to join us.  Not this trip, but the next time, the Three Heartthrobs will be traveling to some fabulous, exotic destination.
